Today I'm sharing my favourite nude lipsticks with you! I do have a couple of them and we all know I love me some nude lipsticks, actually.. lipsticks in general. But I thought it'd be nice to share my favourites from my collection :) Btw, these are in no specific order, I'm just going by brand
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte #1 (Nude Beige): This is a more pinky toned nude rather than a skin colour nude. The Rouge Volupte lipsticks by Yves Saint Laurent are extremely pigmented and creamy. You do have to apply it quite often throughout the day since it is such a creamy formular, but it's super moisturizing and nice on the lips. The colour is lovely and I find it works best if you tap it on rather than full-on putting it on your lips from the bullet. I do have a blogpost on this lipstick if you want to check it out (x).
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte #2 (Sensual Silk): This is the second Rouge Volupte lipstick I own. This one is more on the skin toned side of nudes while #1 is a more rosy, pink toned nude. It isn't too light, nor is it too dark. It does have a slight browny tint to it but it's not a full on brown nude. I'd say it lies between a really light, skin colour and a browny nude as you can see in the swatches below. Just as the #1 it is very pigmented and very creamy so keep that in mind!
MAC Cosmetics (Creme D'Nude): This is my all time favourite skin toned nude colour. It is not too light on my skin and not too dark, so I do not look like a dead zombie when I wear it nor does it give me any kind of 90's nude lip. To me, it's the perfect nude colour. As you can see below, it is a true nude. No rosy or brown undertones in this one.
MAC Cosmetics (Creme Cup): A very nice rosy nude colour. It is quite similar to the YSL Rouge Volupte #1 so if you are on a budget, you might go for the MAC one instead. I do find that Creme Cup does last a little longer, but the Rouge Volupe sits nicer on the lips.
MAC Cosmetics (Pure Zen): Another amazing nude with a slight coral undertone, not too much because momma can't pull of corals. If you are not a fan of full-on, true skin coloured nudes, this one might be for you since it does have more colour to it and doesn't make you look as dead as Creme D'nude might do. I do love it a lot for the summer as a daytime, every day, easy wear lipstick.
Rimmel London by Kate #03: Very affordable drugstore nude. This does have a bit more brown tones in it and isn't as creamy as the other ones. It doesn't have a matte finish either, I'd say it has more of a satin look to it. I don't wear it as often because I do find brown lipsticks are kinda hard to pull off for me but I do love the colour anyway.
f.l.t.r.: YSL Rouge Volupte #2, YSL Rouge Volupte #1, MAC Creme D'Nude, Creme Cup & Pure Zen, Rimmel Kate #03
I really hope you enjoyed today's post!
See you soon :)
