Hello beauties!
I have never done a haul on my blog before so I thought I would just do that from time to time, whenever I get a bit more beauty stuff than usual. This is not a massive haul since I did cut down the money I spend on make-up and rather invested in more fashion bits recently, but I did place an order on BeautyJoint.com like a month ago.
Today I was very excited to see my parcel arrive at my doorstep and I just had to share with you what I got.
For those of you who don't know BeautyJoint, it's a website for mostly drugstore items so they carry brands like e.l.f., LA Girl, Morphe, Wet n Wild, Milani, Maybelline, NYX, Ardell, you name it. They basically have everything you could wish for!
Let's get into the products now, shall we?
e.l.f. (eyes lips face)
High Definition Undereye Setting Powder: This product I wanted to try for such a long time because I heard quite a few people on Youtube talk about it so I decided to pick it up online. This setting powder has a slight pink tone to it and even though it contains a few glitter sparkles, they do not show up on the skin.
Baked Blush (Passion Pink): I also decided to give one of their baked blushes a try. Passion Pink is a true pink colour with hot pink running through it. From what I can tell by swatching the colour on my hand, it does not seem to be extremely pigmented which can be good for people starting out with make-up so you can't really go too heavy on the blush with this product.
Pro Conceal (Orange Corrector/Porcelain/Toast): Since everyone on Youtube is raving about the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD concealer, I could not pass these. I decided to pick up an orange corrector shade which is supposed to cancel out the blue/purple under your eyes and since the NYX concealer in Orange is always sold out, I picked up this instead.
Then I got the colour Porcelain which is the lightest shade they do for under my eyes. From what I can tell so far it is pretty close to MAC NW15 except that MAC is more pink toned and Porcelain from LA Girl is more yellow toned. I am not sure how this colour will work out for my fair skin, but I will definitely report back.
The other shade I got is called Toast which I decided to pick up for cream contouring. I struggle a lot with powder contouring because I feel like my cheeks are very red and have a bit of an uneven texture so I find powder tends to look dirty instead of defined so I wanted to give cream contouring a shot.
Maybelline
Instant Age Rewind (Eraser): This I could not pass either. I heard so many people talk about the Instant Age Rewind concealer and when I went to pick it up in the Austrian drugstore, they only had the 3 concealer shades. In the US, there are a few more shades like the "Eraser" which is just straight up baby pink which should also cancel out the darkness under your eyes. I am looking forward to trying this out because my dark circles are ridiculous.
Morphe
M401 Brush: When I saw BeautyJoint started selling Morphe, I couldn't help myself but order a brush from them. You can't watch Beauty Gurus on Youtube anymore without someone mentioning the Morphe Brushes these days. I decided to go for the M401 which is a big, tapered brush that I thought would be amazing for setting my undereyes and/or powder contouring if that's your thing. I think it would also be a great brush for highlighting your cheekbones as well!
